Friends of DeKalb Animals is an initiative formed to save the lives of at least 50 animals each month in DeKalb County Georgia.
Working with approved rescue groups in the northeast, we raise the funds to vet and transport these animals from DeKalb’s high kill animal control facility to the chance of a new life and a loving home in the north.
The cost to vet and transport each animal is approximately $175, and all donations are fully tax-deductible.
Donations that exceed the amount necessary to vet and transport the animals in a particular month go directly to the needs for the following month so you can be assured that your funds are going straight to saving the lives of these animals.
Your donations combined with low-cost vetting and transport make it possible for these animals to walk out of DeKalb Animal Services to a new life. The alternative for many of them is grim and heartbreaking.
